Holiday Lighting in Newport Beach

Premium holiday lighting in Newport Beach, from Newport Heights and Dover Shores to Newport Coast and the bayfront. Design, install, upkeep included.

Newport Beach is where holiday lighting becomes part of the landscape. From quiet streets to the harbor edge, homes here are seen, admired, and photographed every December.

Coastal Holiday Lights designs and installs custom holiday displays for Newport Beach homeowners who want a finished, white-glove result without lifting a finger.

What We Do in Newport Beach

We design a custom plan for your home, install it with insured crews, maintain it through the season, and take everything down in January. You never touch a ladder.

Our custom-cut, commercial-grade light line is mapped to your roofline, so it follows every gable and eave cleanly. It is built for coastal conditions, never consumer strands. Every install also includes a free gutter cleaning by Pacific Home Exteriors, our proud sponsor.

Many Newport Beach homeowners tell us they love the idea of lighting their home but do not love the idea of the work. Between steep pitches, tall palms, and busy December calendars, the best answer is to hand it to a team that does this every day. Your job is to enjoy the result.

The Neighborhoods and the Look That Suits Them

  • Newport Heights. Established streets and a mix of classic and updated homes suit a refined look: clean roofline outlines, a wreath at the entry, and mature trees wrapped in warm white.
  • Dover Shores. Homes with generous lots and bay views often welcome a larger canvas: rooflines, landscape accents, and a statement at the front elevation.
  • Newport Coast. Many communities here have HOA guidelines, so we design with them in mind. Check your association's rules, and we will plan a display that is elegant and compliant.
  • The bayfront. Homes along the water are part of the harbor scenery, especially during the Christmas Boat Parade. The bay side needs bold, clean structure that reads from the water.

Across all four, the common thread is restraint with polish. A beautifully lit Newport Beach home is rarely the loudest on the block. It is the cleanest, with lines that follow the architecture and color that feels intentional.

Timing in Newport Beach

The Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade traditionally runs five nights in the third week of December, and the Ring of Lights is the bayfront home decorating contest held alongside it. Official dates are published by the organizers. Many homeowners also want to be lit for Thanksgiving. Santa Ana winds in November make a secure, professional install especially worthwhile.

Our guide to the boat parade and Ring of Lights explains how bayfront homes prepare.

Early planning also helps coordinate with busy December schedules, travel, and family visits, so your home is ready when it matters most to you.

How Booking Works

We install a limited number of homes each week, and requests are booked in order. Start with a free design consultation: we look at your home, discuss your vision, and give you an exact written number. Pricing depends on roofline length, complexity, trees, and add-ons.

Please book your free design consultation or call or text (949) 919-7396. See what is included and how it works for details, or visit the areas we serve.

Our service area covers the neighborhoods above and nearby coastal communities. If you are unsure whether we serve your street, just ask.

Good questions

Do you serve all of Newport Beach?

Yes. We serve Newport Beach neighborhoods including Newport Heights, Dover Shores, Newport Coast, and the bayfront, as well as nearby coastal communities. If you are not sure whether your address is in our area, call or text (949) 919-7396 and we will confirm.

Can you work within my HOA's rules?

Yes. Many Newport Coast communities have HOA guidelines about timing, colors, or placement. We design with that in mind and can discuss your association's requirements during your consultation. We recommend checking your HOA's current rules first, so your display is beautiful and approved.

What does it cost to light a Newport Beach home?

Pricing depends on roofline length, complexity, trees, and add-ons, so we do not publish rates. A free design consultation gives you an exact written number. It covers design, installation, in-season maintenance, and January takedown, plus a free gutter cleaning by Pacific Home Exteriors.
