Where we work
Holiday Lighting in Huntington Harbour
Custom holiday lighting for Huntington Harbour waterfront homes, designed to be seen from the water and built for salt and wind. Takedown included.
Huntington Harbour is a neighborhood meant to be seen from the water. Canals wind between homes, boats glide past docks, and every property has a second front door that faces the channel.
Coastal Holiday Lights designs custom displays for Huntington Harbour homeowners who want their home to look as good from a passing boat as it does from the street, with every part of the work handled for them.
What We Do in Huntington Harbour
Every home receives a custom design, installation by insured crews, in-season maintenance, and a January takedown with storage included. You never touch a ladder.
Our custom-cut, commercial-grade line is mapped to your home and chosen for durability, never store-bought strands. Every install includes a free gutter cleaning by Pacific Home Exteriors, our proud sponsor.
Designed to Be Seen From the Water
In Huntington Harbour, the best view of your display may come from the channel. Boat tours, including the Huntington Harbour Cruise of Lights, bring visitors past the waterfront homes each December. Organizers publish the dates and details each year, so please check their announcements.
That changes how we design. We consider both faces of the house.
- The water side. Rear rooflines, balconies, patios, and railings are often what boat passengers see. We make sure this side receives the same care as the front.
- Docks and seawalls. Dock edges, posts, and waterfront landscaping can be accented to reflect on the water. We discuss what is practical and safe for your particular dock during the consultation.
- Reflections. Warm light on calm water doubles the effect. Clean, continuous lines look especially good when mirrored in the channel.
- The street side. Neighbors and visitors on foot still deserve a welcoming entry, so we balance the two views.
We walk the property at dusk, ideally looking at it from both the street and the water side, so the design shows well from every angle.
Salt, Wind, and Durability
Waterfront homes are tougher on lighting than inland ones. Salt air, damp mornings, and breezes off the water test every connection and clip.
That is a main reason we use commercial-grade line rather than consumer strands, and why we secure it with proper clips and tension instead of leaving it to chance. Our crews also maintain the display throughout the season, so a windy night or a damp week does not leave you with dark sections. If something needs attention, we handle it.
Timing and Booking
We install a limited number of homes each week and book them in order. If you hope to be lit before boat tours begin in December, an earlier request gives you the widest choice of dates.
Begin with a free design consultation. We walk the property, discuss the look you want, and give you an exact written number. Pricing depends on roofline length, complexity, trees, and add-ons.
Please book your free design consultation, or call or text (949) 919-7396. Learn how it works, see what is included, and check the areas we serve. Another waterfront community we light is Balboa Island and Lido Isle.
Good questions
Do you light the water side of the home for boat tours?
Yes. We design for both faces of a waterfront home, including rear rooflines, patios, and railings that boat passengers see. Boat tour dates are set and published by the organizers, so please check their announcements and tell us when you want to be lit.
Can docks and seawalls be included?
Often, yes. We discuss what is practical and safe for your dock and waterfront landscaping during the free design consultation, and any additions are included in the exact written number we give you before installation.
Will the lights hold up to salt air and wind?
That is what commercial-grade, custom-cut line is for. We secure it with proper clips and tension, and we maintain the display all season. If a section needs attention after a windy night, we take care of it.
