What Professional Holiday Lighting Costs in Newport Beach (and What Drives It)
What drives the cost of professional holiday lighting in Newport Beach, what a full package includes, and how to get an exact written number for free.
It is the first question every homeowner asks, and it deserves an honest answer. Professional holiday lighting in Newport Beach is priced to your home, not pulled from a rate card, because no two rooflines are alike.
We do not publish prices or per-foot rates, and here is why: a number on a website would be wrong for almost every house. What we can do is show you exactly what moves the price, what you receive for it, and how to get a firm written number without any pressure.
What Actually Drives the Price
Four things decide the cost of a custom holiday lighting design. Once you understand them, any quote you receive will make sense.
- Roofline length. The more linear feet of eave, ridge, and gable we outline, the more line, clips, and crew time your home needs.
- Complexity. A simple single-story ranch is a different job than a Mediterranean home with multiple gables, dormers, a tower, and tile at several pitches. Every change in angle is a decision and a detail.
- Trees and landscaping. Wrapping a palm trunk, outlining an olive tree, or lighting a row of hedges adds design work and installation time. Tall coastal palms are a specialty of their own.
- Add-ons. Window outlines, wreaths, garland, pathway lighting, and bayfront dock or railing lines are all layered onto the base design.
Your color choices, the height of your home, and how much of the property you want lit all play a part as well. That is why we walk the property rather than guess from a street view.
It also helps to decide what the display is meant to do. A modest, elegant outline of the front elevation is a different project than a full property design that carries from the street to the dock. Neither is better. We build the plan around how you want to feel when you pull into the driveway in December, and the number follows from the plan.
What Is Included in One Package
Many homeowners compare a professional quote to the cost of buying lights and doing it themselves. The honest comparison is the full service, because you are not buying lights. You are buying a finished, maintained display with none of the work.
- Design: a custom plan mapped to your home before anything goes up.
- Installation: by our insured install crews, so you never touch a ladder.
- In-season maintenance: if a section goes dark, we come back and fix it.
- January takedown: we remove everything and haul it away.
- A free gutter cleaning by Pacific Home Exteriors, our proud sponsor, with every install.
You can see the full list under what is included. Nothing is billed separately later for the pieces that most homeowners assume will be extra.
Because everything is included, there are no surprise visits and no storage boxes in your garage in February. If a bulb or a section needs attention, one call or text to (949) 919-7396 brings us back.
Why Commercial-Grade Line Costs More Than Box-Store Strands
A box of store-bought lights is inexpensive for a reason. It is built to be sold in a box, plugged in for a few weeks, and thrown away. Those strands come at fixed lengths with fixed bulb spacing, which means you end up with extra wire bunched in a corner or a gap where the strand falls short.
We use a custom-cut, commercial-grade light line mapped to each home. It is cut to the length your roofline needs, spaced evenly, and built for professional use outdoors, including the salt air and morning marine layer that wear down consumer strands along the coast. It costs more up front because it is made to last through the season and look straight and clean the entire time.
The result is the difference you notice from the street: crisp lines that follow the architecture, consistent color from one end to the other, and no sagging or tangled sections. It looks the part because it was built for the part.
Get Your Exact Number
The only way to know what your home will cost is to have someone look at it. A free design consultation covers your roofline, trees, and wish list, and you receive an exact written number with no obligation. A limited number of homes are installed each week and booked in order, so the sooner you ask, the more choice you have on timing.

Good questions
Do you charge by the foot?
We do not publish per-foot rates because the real price depends on much more than length. Roofline length, complexity, trees, and add-ons all play a part. After a free design consultation you receive an exact written number for your specific home, so you know the full cost before anything is installed.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. The design consultation is free and carries no obligation. We look at your home, talk through your vision, and give you a written number. If you decide to move forward, your spot is booked in the order requests come in. If not, you simply keep the ideas.
Are takedown and maintenance extra?
No. Design, installation, in-season maintenance, and the January takedown are all included in your package. If a section stops working during the season, we repair it. After the holidays, we remove everything. Every install also includes a free gutter cleaning by Pacific Home Exteriors.
