Holiday Lighting on Balboa Island and Lido Isle
Custom holiday lighting for Balboa Island and Lido Isle homes, timed for the Christmas Walk and boat parade. Design, install, upkeep, takedown included.
Balboa Island and Lido Isle have a neighborly, small-town spirit that comes alive at Christmas. Streets are walkable, homes sit close together, and the harbor is just steps away.
Coastal Holiday Lights designs custom displays that suit island life, installed by insured crews and maintained all season.
What We Do on the Islands
Every home receives a custom design, installation, in-season maintenance, and a January takedown. You never touch a ladder.
Our custom-cut, commercial-grade line is mapped to your roofline, so it looks crisp up close. Every install includes a free gutter cleaning by Pacific Home Exteriors, our proud sponsor.
It is a service built around your time. You tell us the look you love, and we handle design, installation, upkeep, and takedown. If a section goes dark in mid-December, one call or text brings us back.
Island Culture and the Look That Suits It
On the islands, neighbors see each other's homes daily, and many people walk the streets in the evening. Displays are experienced up close, so details matter.
- Balboa Island. Narrow lots and close neighbors call for restrained, well-proportioned designs. The Balboa Island Christmas Walk is traditionally held on the first Sunday of December, with official dates published by the organizers.
- Lido Isle. Larger homes along the water can carry a bolder look, with the bay side designed to read from the harbor.
- Bayfront visibility. Homes facing the water are seen by boats during the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, which traditionally runs five nights in the third week of December. The Ring of Lights is the bayfront decorating contest held alongside it.
Whichever island you are on, we aim for the same thing: a display that feels like it belongs to the street. The best island homes make their neighbors smile.
Lido Isle is a quieter, residential loop, and many homes there look out toward the water. A refined design that frames the front elevation and the bay side makes a lasting impression on evening walks and from passing boats alike.
On both islands, we keep the details clean: straight lines, matched color, and tidy cord management out of sight. Close neighbors and slow foot traffic mean imperfections show.
One Bridge In and Out
Island logistics are real. With one bridge in and out and narrow streets, we plan crew arrival, materials, and timing in advance to stay efficient and respectful of neighbors. Late-fall wind and salt air call for secure clips and quality line, which is why we use commercial-grade materials.
Because the islands are compact, coordination with neighbors is part of the job. We keep walkways clear and work in a way that respects the quiet of the block.
Timing and Booking
Islanders usually want to be lit before the Christmas Walk, so requests come early. We install a limited number of homes each week, booked in order.
Start with a free design consultation. We walk your property, discuss the look you want, and give you an exact written number. Pricing depends on roofline length, complexity, trees, and add-ons. Please book your free design consultation or call or text (949) 919-7396.
